Data Mining to find our fanbase

The key to developing your fanbase is finding them.

Ask yourself: Who are the people who are looking for my music? Where will I find them? How can I attract them and keep them coming back to listen to me?

Once I've located them, know how to reach them, then, I can help them identify with me and help them support me so I can continue to create music for myself and for them.

Sounds simple enough and it is in theory.

The challenge is locating them.

Lets think about it for a minute.

Where do people listen to music? How do they find new musicians? When do they hear music and become attached to it? How does that happen? The better we understand this process the better we'll be at developing our fanbase, our tribe.
