Leaping Without A Net

Sometimes we just have to go for it.

We don't know why.

Often we're wrong.

Many times, we're right.

The thing is we have to make a choice, make a move to find out where we can go.

With art, the hardest part often is simply facing our fears and doing the work.

We find multiple ways to procrastinate.

We do the wrong work; we destroy what we have created; we hide out.

There are as many ways to not do the work as all the work we might do.

The next time you feel like leaping, with or without a net, realize that, usually, the worst thing that happens is you end up right where you are.

Nothing wrong with that.

And, often, you end up in a new, more interesting, challenging, exciting, creative space.
